David Cerny. His work (Metalmorphosis) of the rotating head is something that I like. The movement of this piece is very visual and interesting. Cerny is from the Czech Republic and this work can be found in Charlotte, NC USA. Initially I was interested in this as I had thought of making my sculpture a moving piece. Now I have decided against this and have opted for an interactive stationary piece. I had also considered copying the physical makeup of this work and making mine also stainless steel. To me the stainless steel makes great visual impact for viewers. However, the weight of such a structure and the expense of the material has made this impossible for me.
